Season: - Season with salt and pepper to taste. 7. Serve: - Remove from heat and serve warm as a side dish.

Steamed Cauliflower

To steam cauliflower, place it in a pot with a small amount of water (about 1 inch) and steam it for about 5–10 minutes until tender. This method is great for preserving the vitamins and nutrients in the cauliflower.

Boiled Cauliflower

Boiling cauliflower is another simple and popular method. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the cauliflower for about 5–7 minutes until tender. Drain and season as desired.

Variations

Cauliflower can be fried, grilled, roasted, deep-fried, BBQ’d, eaten raw, stir-fried, air-fried, and baked. You can do anything to a potato, you can do with cauliflower. Here are a few recommendations for further experimentation: Fried Cauliflower: Cut the cauliflower into thick slices, coat in flour or breadcrumbs, and fry until crispy. Grilled Cauliflower: Marinate cauliflower florets and grill until charred and tender. Roast Cauliflower: Toss cauliflower with olive oil, salt, and spices, then roast in the oven. Deep-Fried Cauliflower: Cut into small florets, dust with flour, and deep-fry until golden and crispy. BBQ Cauliflower: Brush with a BBQ sauce and grill until charred and tender.

For a more exotic twist, try aloo gobi, an Indian cauliflower and potato dish. You can find a recipe similar to mine here. I usually add a tablespoon of garam masala to enhance the flavor, but you can adjust the spices to your taste. Making it the day before and reheating the dish can intensify the flavors.
