Hostel and dormitory accommodation is available for students participating in selection rounds. They can stay back at Vellore Campus during the placement period.
Slabs and Offers
The placement offers at VIT are categorized into slabs based on Compensation and Total Compensation (CTC):
Regular Offers: Stand at and below 4 lakhs CTC. Dream Offers: Start from 4-8 lakhs CTC. Super Dream Offers: Start from 8 lakhs CTC and above.Note that a student can only move up the ladder and receive one offer per slab. Hence, a student receiving a Super Dream offer is not eligible to sit for any other company within the same slab. Once a Super Dream offer is accepted, the student may only apply for Dream placements (if available).
To be eligible for placements, students must maintain a CGPA greater than 8.5 with no backlogs by the 6th semester. High board marks (above 75) are also preferable.
