The Best Investment: Prioritizing Health Over Crypto and Real Estate
In the current market, many are considering various investments, ranging from cryptocurrency to real estate. However, in my opinion, the best investment one can make today is in their health.
Why Health Over Digital Diversions?
Going back to 2021, many of us were particularly attached to our digital devices, often staying up late into the night. Fast forward to 2023, I have come to realize the importance of taking care of my eyes. During the lockdown, I noticed a significant number of my classmates wearing glasses, which initially I assumed they were following a trend. However, I was surprised to find that some of them were wearing very high power glasses. This experience made me question my past behavior and consider the long-term consequences of such habits.
Throw Out These Assumptions in 2023
Society often assumes that young people can withstand any form of trauma. But this mindset needs to change. We must stop assuming that we are invincible and that our bodies won't suffer in the long run. Younger generations should be the fittest, but sadly, a lot of us are not taking proper care of our bodies. We are often living in the present moment, not heeding the warnings that our bodies are sending us. If we continue this trend, by the time we are 30, our bodies could be victims of various diseases.
No one wants to look like they are in their 60s at the age of 30. Imagine your natural glow, smooth and shiny hair during your youth, lasting well into your late 40s. This is something worth investing in. We need to stop taking our health for granted, because after all, our health is the single most important asset we have. We need to learn the value of proper care, as it is our only partner that will stay with us until our last breath.
Reduce Screen Time and Protect Your Eyes
Screen time needs to be reduced. My eyes are very special to me, and I want to protect them. Wearing glasses might seem cool, but it certainly does not do justice to my vision or my lifestyle. If I were to experience eye problems, I would want to avoid the inconvenience of wearing glasses, especially from a young age. To help manage screen time, I recommend using the Eye Usage Tracker App. This app can help monitor and manage your screen time effectively.
Incorporate Almonds into Your Daily Diet
We are adults now, and we have the responsibility to take care of our health, even in small ways. Keeping almonds within arm's reach, such as placing them on your bedside or study table, and eating them when you crave something crunchy and satisfying, is a simple yet effective way to maintaingood health.
Prioritize Sleep and Embrace Productivity
Make sure to hit the hay by 10 Pm, unless it is for studying. I understand that the midnight peace can be perfect for focused studying, but sleeping on time can give you the energy to start your day with a bang. Your sleep is just as important as the shows you might be watching. Matthew Walker's book, "Why We Sleep," provides a compelling argument for the benefits of sleep.
Your body is your partner for life. Make it a priority to care for it in the same way you take care of your other investments. By reducing screen time, eating almonds, and prioritizing sleep, you can start taking better care of your health today. Remember, investing in your health is not just about longevity; it is about enjoying life and living it to the fullest.
