Exploring New Culinary Skills During Lockdown: My Journey with Baking and Cooking
Being cooped up at home during the lockdown provided me with an opportunity to indulge in activities I've always wanted to try but never had the time for. One of the most exciting ventures was my journey into the world of baking and cooking. While I have always had a strong inclination towards baking, I had some reservations about trying my hand at it. The lockdown offered me the perfect excuse to overcome these inhibitions and explore new flavors and techniques.
Baking During Lockdown
One of the biggest revelations for me during the lockdown has been my successful bake-off in the kitchen. I had never attempted baking a cake before, and even after watching numerous videos, I felt it was something beyond my reach. However, when my father's birthday came around, I decided to give it a shot. It wasn't the most perfect cake, but my efforts were genuinely appreciated, and that was all the motivation I needed to continue.
Here are a few pictures of that birthday cake, baking its full circle through the lockdown:
Monkeying Around with Flavorful Recipes
