Exploring Beer Preferences and Preferences: A Personal Journey

Beer has been a beloved drink for centuries, with countless styles and varieties available. For someone like me, the choice of beer often depends on the occasion, mood, and company. In this article, I will share some of my personal beer preferences and delve into the world of beer tasting.

Current Favourite Beers

As of now, the beer in my hand is a Session White IPA, Cromarty Whiteout from Cromarty. This beer is one of the finest white IPAs I have tasted, offering a refreshing taste and a smooth mouthfeel. However, with the glass half empty, my preferred beer will likely be a Kelburn Fly Half.

A Seasonal Delight: Fat Squirrel

In Wisconsin, there is a special beer called Fat Squirrel, brewed by New Glarus Brewing. This beer is a deep reddish brown with a rich, nutty flavor that my wife affectionately refers to as "Fire Beer". It's only available seasonally, so I always make a point to stock up whenever it hits the shelves. The aroma and head are outstanding, making it a truly unique and enjoyable experience.

Classic Fat Tire

When it comes to classic beers, Fat Tire has been a reliable favorite of mine. This beer strikes the perfect balance of darkness, bitterness, and hops. It's not too dark, not too bitter, and not too hoppy, which makes it incredibly smooth to drink.

A New Love: C würst es al Wohnspass

During my recent dating journey, I've had the pleasure of tasting the beer preferences of my significant other. She has a penchant for Michelob Light, which is quite different from the robust flavors of my preferred Fat Tire. While she enjoys the lightness of this beer, I have come to appreciate it when I am not in the mood for a more assertive flavor profile. Our shared love for beer has certainly added to the bond between us.

Beer by Occasion

The choice of beer can vary greatly depending on the circumstances. On a hot summer afternoon after mowing the lawn, I might opt for a refreshing German or Dutch lager like Becks or Grolsch. During an elegant Sunday roast, I would prefer something like York Brewery Guzzler or Taylor's Landlord to complement the meal. If it's a cold night, a Black Dog Brewery Porter would be perfect in the pub. And for a casual drink, I might go for a Blue Moon Wheat Beer.

Final Thoughts

Beer is undoubtedly a versatile drink that can adapt to different occasions and tastes. Whether you are exploring new flavors or sticking to old favorites, there is always something to enjoy. As for me, I continue to appreciate the diverse world of beer and look forward to trying more new varieties in the future.
