Evolving Magneton in Pokémon Games

Unlocking the ultimate form of Magneton, the powerful Magnezone, can be a rewarding experience for any Pokémon trainer. This guide will walk you through the steps to evolve Magneton into Magnezone, including the necessary items, steps, and locations in various Pokémon games.

Part 1: Evolving Magneton in Any Pokémon Game

First, you need to have at least 100 Magnemite candies to evolve Magneton into Magnezone. To do so, follow these steps:

Step 1: Put Magneton in Your Party

Magneton can be at any level when evolving, and it can be found in Blue, Red, Yellow, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, HeartGold, or SoulSilver.
- You can evolve a Magnemite into Magneton by raising it to level 30 or by catching Magneton in various locations within your game.
- Magneton needs to be level 99 or lower. Level 100 Pokémon cannot evolve since the evolution process occurs during the level-up process, and 100 is the maximum level.
- If you are playing HeartGold or SoulSilver, you need to trade Magneton to Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum, evolve it, and then trade it back to HeartGold or SoulSilver.

Step 2: Visit the Evolving Location

Magneton can evolve in specific locations in different games:

Back in the Sinnoh Region: Visit Mt. Coronet, a mountain located in the center of the Sinnoh region. You can access it from Snowpoint City, Hearthome City, Eterna City, Celestic Town, and Oreburgh City.

In Black and White: Visit Chargestone Cave. You can enter the cave from Route 6 or Mistralton City. In Black and White, you'll need to beat the Driftveil Gym first.

In Kalos Region: Visit Kalos Route 13, located in the northern area of the map, connecting Coumarine City and Lumiose City.

In Hoenn Region: Visit New Mauville, which is underneath Mauville City. You can access it by Surfing from Route 110 underneath the bridge.

Step 3: Level Up Magneton

Magneton evolves when it gains a level. You can level it up by:

Part 2: Getting Magnezone in HeartGold and SoulSilver

For HeartGold and SoulSilver, you can only obtain Magnezone through a trading process. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Find a Friend with Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum

Friendship is vital to obtaining a Magnezone in these games. You need to trade with a friend who has Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum. Both systems must be physically nearby, and internet trades are no longer possible in these games.

Step 2: Meet Trading Requirements

Each player must have the Pokédex and at least two Pokémon.

Step 3: Go to the Nearest Pokémon Center in Both Games

Start the trading process from any Pokémon Center in the game.

Step 4: Enter the Trading Area

Both players need to go to the second floor of the Pokémon Center, which is the trading area.

Step 5: Begin the Trading Process

Here are the steps to begin the trade process:

Talk to the person in the center of the room on the second floor to initiate the trading room. Both players need to do this. Enable DS Wireless Communication when prompted. Both players will need to do this. Negotiate the trade by selecting a Pokémon to give away.

Step 6: Trade Magneton to the Friend

Have the friend trade Magneton to you.

Step 7: Evolve Magneton at Mt. Coronet

The friend will need to take Magneton to Mt. Coronet and level it up to evolve it into Magnezone. This can be done by battling or using a Rare Candy. Once evolved, Magneton will become Magnezone.

Step 8: Trade Magnezone Back to HeartGold or SoulSilver

Follow the same trading process to trade the now evolved Magnezone back to the HeartGold or SoulSilver player. Congratulations, you now have a Magnezone in HeartGold or SoulSilver!
