With the exception of one girl I went to school with who was raised vegetarian, I can't think of anyone I know who hasn't eaten at least one meat pie in their lives.

Most neighbourhoods in larger cities, let alone most smaller towns, have at least one bakery. It's a mark of poor quality if they don't have a range of meat pies available. The quality may differ, but the fact of their existence is almost certain.

Vegetarians and health-conscious individuals who prefer not to indulge in meat pies do exist in Australia. However, these do not constitute the majority of the population.

Personally, despite moving house many times over the years, I cannot think of one place where I have been more than a three-minute drive or 15-minute walk from a pie shop or a bakery.
